Return To Play Plan
COVID-19
5/9/2020
Players, fans & staff are required to maintain six feet of social distancing space in most cases. We have 77 acres and the fields are spaced out to help with Social Distancing.
Only parents, guardians and immediate family members are encouraged to attend the tournament.
Remind anyone who feels sick to stay home!
Teams are urged to bring hand sanitizer and use it at the end of each half inning.
Each player will only use his/her own equipment and will not share it with others.
Remind players and fans to practice good hygiene, including:
• Washing hands with soap and water, or using hand sanitizer, especially after touching frequently used items or surfaces;
• Avoiding touching your face;
• Sneezing or coughing into a tissue, or the inside of your elbow; and
• Disinfecting frequently used items and surfaces as much as possible.
We will have a staff member at the restroom entrance to control the number of occupants.
Water will remain on in the restroom sinks to minimize contact with surfaces. Antibacterial soap and hand sanitizers will be available for use. Restrooms will be disinfected hourly. Partitions have been put up between the sinks in the women’s restroom and the urinals in the men’s restroom. Sinks are 7’ apart in the men’s restroom.
Social Distancing will be practiced in all Dugouts:
Only 3-4 players will be allowed inside at a time.
When teams are on offense, the batter will be at the plate, the next batter will be in the on deck circle & the next 3 batters will be in the dugout. All other players will be in individual chairs spaced 6’ apart behind the dugout or with their family unit.
The concession stand workers are from the same family unit.
There will be a limited concession stand menu and a separate stand alone area for drinks only.
Coolers are welcome to be brought into the facility. However, no team coolers are allowed. Only individual family coolers.
Balls & strikes will be called by the umpire who will be 6’ behind the pitcher in the field. He will make calls at 1st and 2nd bases.
There will be a 2nd umpire positioned 6’ behind the catcher who will make fair and foul ball calls, as well as calls at 3rd base and home plate.
The umpires will have multiple baseballs and will regularly change the one in play to be sanitized.
