Sandlot Baseball

As we enter our 16th year, Sandlot Baseball continues to provide the same quality youth baseball tournaments throughout the 4 State region. Under the direction of Brad Longley and Tom Cox, Sandlot Baseball will be hosting tournaments in many outstanding facilities in 2025.

Sandlot Baseball tournaments will be one day (Saturdays only), 3 games guaranteed and played in some of the areas finest ballparks. There is never a gate fee and coolers are always welcome. We will use quality age-appropriate fields where kids from 8-14 can play baseball from April to August. The 2025 schedule includes 12 tournaments.

Thank you for the overwhelming support of coaches, players, parents and fans. Because of you, Sandlot Baseball lives on.

We hope you'll join us in 2025, and look forward to hearing those immortal words, "Play Ball!"

May 9 Tournament Washed Out!

We worked hard Friday to get the fields ready for another full tournament at The Sandlot.  Brad dug trenches to get standing water off the dirt portion of the infields, periods of sun and wind provided enough drying to get them turned over and when we left for home Friday night, all 6 fields were ready for play.

But despite our best efforts, heavy pre-dawn rainfall has caused us to cancel a tournament for the first time in 2015.  Our apologies to all of the players, coaches and fans who were looking forward to a great day of baseball at The Sandlot.  The forecast is calling for quite a bit of additional rain throughout the weekend.

We hope you will be able to play in one of our future tournaments.  Next week's tourney (May 16) will only be played at The Sandlot, so space will be limited.  Mt. Vernon's fields won't be available as they will be playing their big Opening Day games because of rain this week.

We would like to wish you and your families a great Mother's Day weekend and say thank you to all of the moms who sacrifice so much so their kids can play ball.  You are awesome!
