April Showers bring . . . wet fields!

The April 18 and 25 tournaments will be remembered for wet conditions and some very patient and understanding coaches, players and parents.  Late rains just about washed out the first two tournaments of 2015.  However, "The Magician," Brad Longley and his crew of Logan Phillips and Kaden Shoff, somehow managed to get the fields playable after a couple of hours delay.

What we saw were incredible performances by the teams on hand!  And some great attitudes by everyone involved in the tournaments.  We continue to be amazed by the folks who come to The Sandlot and want to say "Thank you" for your support.  We love what we do, and the players, coaches and their fans make it all worthwhile.  We don't always get it perfect, but it's not from a lack of effort.

Our motto says, "Building Better People Through Baseball."  Well, from where we sit, you have already done a great job of that.  Keep up the good work and we hope to see you again soon at The Sandlot. 

First Tournament of 2015 is finally here!

Sandlot Baseball is proud to begin the 2015 tournament season with a packed house on April 18.  From 8u to 14u, all 6 fields are filled with teams from all over Missouri.  Even Arkansas is represented this weekend!  Weather may be a factor, but the fields are in great shape, so we're hopeful they can withstand whatever Mother Nature has in store for us Friday night into Saturday.

The schedule is posted under Tournament Schedule.  The 14u's are playing one bracket in Mt. Vernon while the other is at The Sandlot.  Everyone else is at The Sandlot.  As always, there is no gate fee for fans and we allow coolers of food and drinks (No Alcohol, please!).  We have an outstanding concession stand with a ton of great items, including the World Famous Sandlot Sweet Tea!  We do ask that no grilling take place inside the facility.  We have some excellent spots for that just a short drive down the road.

Thank you all for your tremendous support of The Sandlot.  We will do our best to run a quality tournament each and every week.  We look forward to renewing old friendships and making many new ones.  See you Saturday.  Can't wait!

First Day Camp April 12th!

Sunday, April 12 will officially open the 2015 season at The Sandlot with our first Day Camp from 1:00 - 5:00 pm.  We've been busy getting the facility ready for play.  The camp is designed for players ages 8-14 to work on proper hitting, fielding and throwing mechanics.  Cost for the 4 hour camp is $35/athlete.  Sign up now under the Tournament & Camp Registration tab.
